Father’s Day, Legoland, & A New (Very Good) Gelateria in Park City
Female Foodie Friday Vol. 35
Happy summer solstice, AKA the longest day of the year and a milestone I always love.
I’m in sunny Southern California spending time with family and soaking up every minute. So without further ado, let’s dive into this week’s top 10.
10 Things That Made This Week Great
Pleasantly delighted to discover a brand new gelato spot in Park City with friends that is honestly on par with some of the best quality gelato we’ve had in Italy.
Played this game with friends and LOVED. Perfect for kids and adults.
Cafe Rio isn’t as good as it was before they became a major franchise, but since we don’t have one close to where we live, it totally hits the spot when I’m passing through the SLC airport.
This view on my flight home simply took my breath away.
Celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday with five-star omelets, steak, and homemade strawberry ice cream from this cookbook. So thankful to be surrounded by so many good fathers, including my own dad and the father to my children, Cody. 💛
Loved interviewing one of THE seven brothers, Shem Hannemann from Seven Brothers, this week on the podcast, and stoked for their 4 upcoming new locations!
Headed to southern Utah for a couple of days at the beginning of this week and loved eating at so many great foodie spots (several of which we hadn’t tried).
Tacos from Angelica’s, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, and bbq from Pica Rica were insanely good. And it isn’t a trip to St. George without multiple stops at Dutchman’s for their sugar cookies & soda! We were only in St. George for a couple of days, but one of our highlights was going to the Veyo Pool Resort, which is sourced by fresh spring water and only a 25 minute drive from St. George. We loved driving up to a slightly cooler temp in Veyo and swimming in the pool all afternoon.
We drove down to sunny southern California and spent the entire day yesterday at Legoland with the family. My boys about lost their marbles because they were so excited, and it was so fun to see them light up at every corner.
You know that I was excited to try the food, and my fav items were the cornbread and ribs from Knights Smokehouse BBQ and the granny’s apple fries.
Spending time with family has meant everything to me. The older I get, the more I understand that family is everything. 💛
