Even though I’ve been home since Sunday (and recently had the audacity to share an entire podcast episode titled How To Beat Jet Lag Like A Pro), I somehow always forget how brutal jet lag can be.
I’ve chatted a ton about our two recent Italy tours (see Rome Tour highlights and Tuscany Tour highlights), and while I’m getting SO excited to announce 2026 dates (should be next week!!), this week’s FFF is all about SPRING and EASTER.
PS- if you’re hoping to come on one of our 2026 tours, I *highly* recommend becoming a paying subscriber! Paid subscribers will get 2026 dates, itinerary info, and the ability to sign up before anyone else.
I literally wrote out my Easter menu today, so if you’re on the same wavelength as me, here are a few last-minute (killer) recipes!
Olive oil cake (duh!)
10 Things That Made This Week Great
Cody’s birthday was on Sunday! Even though I got home at noon from traveling all day, I was still able to throw together a simple dinner with some of his favs: ribeye steaks, yukon gold baked potatoes (the best!), and a homemade caesar salad.
For he's a jolly good fellow. A brief highlight from the flight home: being so glad that I brought my own food from Italy! KLM has fantastic customer service, but boy, was the food terrible. If you’re visiting Europe and headed home, do yourself a favor and bring something like this miniature pizza (I had 3) or similar to hold you over.
My dear friend and co-host for our Italy food tours (Michelle!) sent me the most beautiful, delicious plant-based chocolates that are almost too pretty to eat! I’ve been savoring and rationing them at the rate of roughly 2.5 per day.
The spring flowers here in the PNW are just INSANE. I’m positive my neighbors love looking out their window and seeing me take my 100th picture of their cherry blossom trees.
And speaking of the PNW, I’m nearly 4 years deep into living here and still can’t believe that a ho-hum Thursday walk can look like this.
When my boys pick flowers for me it makes my heart melt.
I’m fairly confident that this isn’t going to taste good, but it still made me smile and I still bought a can.
All of her vids make me cry (in a good way).
Made our grilled rack of lamb last night, and it’s seriously the bomb. I forget just how good it is until I make it again. So easy and always a home run! I get my lamb at Costco BTW.
Trader Joe’s, jean jackets, and lots of sunshine = a great day. I love hosting our tours in Italy, but I always miss being with my kids. It’s good to be home. 💛
What are your easter plans this weekend? Headed somewhere fun or staying home? Tell me everything!
